Every time a child is baptized or someone joins the church we, as a congregation,
agree to support the church with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our service.
In an effort to fulfill this commitment we make, all members and constituents of the church are asked to make a commitment to participate in a current ministry of our church for one year in conjunction with their financial pledge.
Together with the ministry leaders, the staff has developed a Ministry Description booklet
which is accompanied by a Commitment Card that will be used to communicate your intentions to the staff and ministry leaders.
Our goal is to deepen the understanding of discipleship as being lived out in service ministries and to deepen the commitment to sacrificial financial commitment to support ministries. In short, our goal is to crate a "culture of commitment" that will permeate all areas of our church life. We want all Christians to experience the blessings of discipleship which can be achieved from service and giving.

As you browse through the Ministry Description booklet and Commitment Card, allow God to speak to you and guide you. Prayerfully ask yourself two things: What are my God-given gifts? Where is my passion? (i.e. my deep desire to see something happen, to address some unmet need, or where I experience joy).
God may lead you to select a ministry you have cared about for a long time, or one that will stretch your wings in a new direction. We encourage you to make a selection of one or more ministries in which to serve for one year beginning in January. Next fall, you will have another opportunity to select the same ministry or another one, depending on God's leading in your life.
